Vermont Jazz Center

Each year, the VJC hosts about 40 instrumental and 20 vocal participants from around the world for a challenging, invigorating weeklong summer workshop. Vermont Studio Center

Ongoing: Founded by artists in 1984, the Vermont Studio Center is the United States’ largest international artists’ and writers’ residency program, hosting 50 visual artists and writers each month from across the country and around the world. The Studio Center provides four- to 12-week studio residencies on an historic 30-building campus along the Gihon River in Johnson, Vt., a village in the heart of the northern Green Mountains.

Village Arts of Putney is the home of the Putney Painters, a group of dedicated painters from New England (and the Southwest), many of whom have been gathering together for nine years to paint with and learn from Richard Schmid and Nancy Guzik.
