Stone Walling Gets a New Booster

stonewalling_0017The Stone Trust, a still-young nonprofit, advances and preserves the art and craft of dry stone walling. Working closely with the Dry Stone Walling Association of Great Britain (DSWA), The Stone Trust offers indoor and outdoor workshops for interested learners, certifies professional wallers and advocates for greater awareness about the many natural linkages to the art and history of America’s dry stone walls. The Trust believes there is a waller in every person. Working to become an international resource for all things ‘dry stone,’ The Trust seeks partnerships with preservation, green design, landscape architecture, civil engineering and historical societies. Headquartered at Scott Farm in Kipling Road in Dummerston, the Center is the only indoor dry stone wall teaching/training facility in North America.  http://www.thestonetrust.org.
